In addition, love is celebrated in Jane Eyre. It isn’t a conventional story between Cinderella and the prince, instead, the love is built up in soul. The value of Jane Eyre is still applicable in modern society. Now many young girls are druncken with material life thus ignoring refining their inner world. They long to marry wealthy guys despite the fact that they only love their money.Love is an important part in Great Expectations as well. In the story, Pip shows his affection for Estella. It’s a pity that the story has two versions, one is that they have been together, the other is that they haven’t. In my opinion, the latter is more reasonable and convincing because that Estella has never cherished Pip’s love. Of course, love isn’t the main theme in Great Expectations. But I still want to talk about it and speak out that true love must be mutual and that the one you love should be worth your love. Last but not least, Jane Eyre and Great Expectations have some similarities and differences, but they are both worth reading.
