【正文】 ss the relevant problems. The experts thought that ground caving in was closely related to solution unanimously. But according to Shenzhen geological map of 1:50000 and the detailed investigation report, there was no solution stratum in Old House area. So experts thought that there was something wrong about the judgment of the stratum. They suggested to make clear the lithology and the hydrological conditions by means of drilling and physical exploration in such area. Shenzhen Water Affairs Bureau mitted Shenzhen Investigation amp。 Research Institute to add 14 bores in the tunnel axis and 30 bores in the settlement and caving in area of Old House Village, bined with CT physical exploration and pumping from the bores. The result proved that the settlement area of Old House Village was the solution basin and the water gushing point was the exit of the groundwater. Besides, the length, the extent and the rules of solution area were clarified. It was suggested to construct through full section ductule super forward grouting to reinforce and stop the water. Consequently, it crossed the solution segment and the fractured zone. From then on, no settlement and caving in happened in Old House Village.
