I didn’t go to school yesterday because I was ill. 我昨天沒(méi)去上學(xué)，因?yàn)槲疑×恕? Because it was raining, we had to stay at home. 因?yàn)橄掠?，我們只好待在家里? Because表示動(dòng)詞發(fā)生的直接原因，語(yǔ)氣很強(qiáng)，常用來(lái)回答 why引導(dǎo)的疑問(wèn)句，如：? ——Why didn’t he go with us today?? ——Because he was too tired.? 我們也可以用 since和 as引導(dǎo)原因狀語(yǔ)從句，只不過(guò)這兩個(gè)詞的語(yǔ)氣比 because要弱， since和 as的用法大體相同，表示附帶說(shuō)明的 “大家已知的原因 ”， since的意思是 “既然、由于、因?yàn)?”，表示已知的、顯然的理由，較正式，多位于句首。? 如： Since you are free, you’d better tidy your room. 既然你有空，你最好打掃一下你的房間。?
