Because表示動詞發(fā)生的直接原因，語氣很強(qiáng)，常用來回答 why引導(dǎo)的疑問句，如：? ——Why didn’t he go with us today?? ——Because he was too tired.? 我們也可以用 since和 as引導(dǎo)原因狀語從句，只不過這兩個詞的語氣比 because要弱， since和 as的用法大體相同，表示附帶說明的 “大家已知的原因 ”， since的意思是 “既然、由于、因為 ”，表示已知的、顯然的理由，較正式，多位于句首。? 如： Since you are free, you’d better tidy your room. 既然你有空，你最好打掃一下你的房間。?
