【正文】 can tell (=I can’t tell that).那事我實在不明白。(2)less than的主要用法是：①(指數(shù)量)不到，不足：It’s less than a mile to the station.去車站不到一英里。In less than an hour he finished the work.沒要上一個小時他就做完了工作。②比…(小)少：Two is less than Three.二比三小。She eats less than she should.她吃得比她應(yīng)該吃的少。③一點也不：He was less than helpful when we arrived.我們到達(dá)時他一點也不幫忙。3.more …than與less…than(1)more...than的主要用法：①比…多，比…更：He has more books than me.他的書比我多。He is more careful than the others.他比其他人更仔細(xì)。②與其…不如：He is more lucky than clever.與其說他聰明，不如說他幸運。He is morescholar thanteacher.與其說他是位教師，不如說是位學(xué)者。注：該句型主要用于同一個人或物在兩個不同性質(zhì)或特征等方面的比較，其中的比較級必須用加more的形式，不能用加詞尾er的形式。(2)less...than的主要用法是：①不像(如)：He is less honest than his brother.他不如他哥哥聰明。②比…少，不如…多：We drink less coffee than tea.我們喝咖啡不如喝茶多。I got less money than the others did.我比別人得到的錢少。③與其…不如…：I regard him less as my teacher than as my friend.與其說我把他當(dāng)作老師，不如說我是把他當(dāng)作朋友。注：表示此義時與可與more…than結(jié)構(gòu)替換(但要注意詞序的變化)：He is less a teacher than an expert. / He is more an expert than a teacher.與其說他是老師，不如說他是專家。4.no+比較級+than。這類結(jié)構(gòu)的實際意思是對待比較的兩個對象進(jìn)行否定，相當(dāng)于該原級形容詞或副詞的反義詞使用as…as結(jié)構(gòu)的意思：no better than = as bad as與……一樣不好no faster than = as slow as與……一樣不快no taller than = as short as與……一樣不高no earlier than = as late as與……一樣遲He is no cleverer than her.他與她一樣不聰明(即一樣愚)。He’s no richer than a beggar.他同乞丐一樣窮，即窮如乞丐。5.no+比較級+than與not+比較級+than：前者表示“與…一樣不”，后者表示“不比…更”：He is not taller than me.他不如我高()。He is no taller than me.他同我一樣不高。(即一樣矮)His English is not better than mine.他的英語不如我的英語好。His English is no better than mine.他的英語同我的英語一樣不好。(即一樣差)You are not more careful than he is.你不如他仔細(xì)。You are no more careful than he is.你和他一樣不仔細(xì)。(即一樣粗心)6.no more than與not more than：兩者均可表示數(shù)量，前者表示“僅僅”、“只有”(= only)，強(qiáng)調(diào)少；而后者表示“不多于”、“至多”(= at most)：He is no more than an ordinary English teacher.他只不過是個普通的英文老師。He has no more than three children.他只有3個孩子。He has not more than three children.他最多3個孩子(有或許還不到3個之意)?！?.no more…than與not more…than：兩者均可用于比較，前者表示對兩者都否定，意為“同…一樣不”(=neither ... nor)；而后者則指兩者雖都具有某種特征，但程度不同，意為“不如”、“不及”(= not so ... as)：He is no more a writer than a painter.他不是畫家，也不是作家。(= He is neither a painter nor a writer.)He’s no more able to read Spanish than I am.他和我都讀不懂西班牙語。(=Neither he nor I am not read Spanish.)She is not more clever than he is.她不如他聰明。(= She is not so clever as he is.)This book is not more difficult than that one.這本書不比那本書更難。(This book is not so difficult as that one.)8.no less than與not less than：表示均可表示數(shù)量，前者意為“多達(dá)”、“有…之多”，強(qiáng)調(diào)多；后者表示“不下于”、“至少”：He has no less than seven daughters.他有七個女兒之多。He has not less than seven daughters.他至少有七個女兒。9.no more …than與no less…than：前者意為“與…一樣不”，否定兩者；而后者則表示“和…一樣”，肯定兩者：She’s no more a great singer than I am.他不是優(yōu)秀歌手，我也不是。Your brother is no less wise than you.你的兄弟跟你一樣聰明。A whale is no more a fish than a horse is.馬不是魚，鯨也不是魚。A dolphin is no less a clever animal than a dog is.海豚與狗同樣都是聰明的動物。 技術(shù)資料分享
