They can produce a chemical to make their leaves taste bad. 7 Can trees help one another? Yes. For example, they can join their roots together underground and pass each other food and water . 8 Every year, there are fewer and fewer trees in the world. Is that true? Yes. People cut down and burn a lot of trees every year. P12: Trees are the biggest and oldest living things on Earth. P36: Trees provide many things such as wood, rubber and paper.
