【正文】 ognize that the foundation of marriage should be love. It’s well known that family is the final arrangement for everyone. The biggest difference between home and hotel is that hotel is just a place for people to rest while home is full of love. So people get married for love instead of benefit. The close relationship between children and parents Nowadays, more and more parents find that their children bee indifferent and rebellious. Facing such problems, the parents always blame the children and criticize the teachers. In their opinions, they have spent a lot of money in supporting their education and the responsibility for training the children have been passed to the schools and teachers. So if the children bee rebellious, the parents will blame the schools and teachers immediately. Most of them do not realize that it’s the defects of the family education. Talking about the defects, we can summarize them as the following points. Firstly, the education of nonintelligence elements is neglected by the parents. The strict Chinese parents’ neglecting the education of nonintelligence element is a terrible phenomenon .In this aspect, according to their own thinking mode, man y parents force their children to learn Chinese characters, recite poems and practice mathematics. They do not care about children’s interest. Secondly, they ignore the establishment of the personality of independence. It is well known that parents are the first teachers for the children, so the family education is very important. Our Chinese parents always require children to do things according to the previous examples, and they seldom encourage children do things creatively. Then children do not want to 唐 山 學(xué) 院 畢 業(yè) 論 文 11 municate with their parents gradually. In children’s eyes, their parents do not understand them at all. From the film Life Is Beautiful, the audience can learn some different ways to teach their children. As a Jewish father, Guido uses his specific ways to educate Giosue. Firstly, be humorous. Guido always makes his son laugh in the daily life. He knows what an important role laughter plays in their life. In the concentration camp, Guido can make his son happy all the time. Little Giosue have the idea that the life of the concentration camp is just a game for it’s full of funs and interesting things. Giosue believes his father, their relationship are close. Guido: The prize is...the prize is... Eliseo: A tank. Guido:Yes! Yes, the prize is a tank. Giosue: I already have one. Guido: No, a real one. iosue: A real tank?[8] Secondly, be wise. In the movie, the hero Guido’s intelligence is obvious. Just like the above dialogues, we can see Guido’s wise. Giosue will not stay there if Guido does not say that the prize is a real tank. When little Giosue was tired and not wanted to continue the “ petition” , Guido just used several clever sentences, such as if they give up, the tank will belong to other children, to let him stay there voluntarily and happily. Jewish people’s intelligence is that they move here and there and do not settle problem in a fixed place. When you get into trouble, they encourage you try a new way. Guido knows the importance of the intelligence, and it affects little Giosue step by step. The Jewish people are quite different from our Chinese parents, and they pay more attention to children’s interest and personality of independence. On one hand, they do something according to children’s interest, and make children happy. On the other hand, they encourage children to try a new way when getting into trouble, which contribute a lot to children’s growth. We believe that parents and children may learn something from the movie, and their relationship being close, just like Guido and his son. Life is beautiful With the development of society, people face more pressure from society or family. In our country, the important positions almost belong to men, and they are key leaders and representatives of the country. In the family, an ideal husband should earn money to 唐 山 學(xué) 院 畢 業(yè) 論 文 12 support family, and take care of wife and children. Sometimes, they will feel tired. They could not undertake so much responsibility. In their opinions, life is not beautiful. From the film Life Is Beautiful, we can see Guido’s life, which is really a beautiful life. At the beginning, Guido is not a rich man, and he is just a book keeper. Dora is a beautiful lady. She has engaged to a rich man. It seems that the two people will never bee a couple in the future. However, Guido uses his romance and humor to attract Dora, and gains her true love. They pose a happy family. In Guido’s mind, it is a dream to marry Dora. When he takes Dora away from the party, his beautiful life begins, as his beautiful dream es true. Then, in the concentration camp, Guido hides Giosue from the Nazi guards and sneaks him food. In an attempt to keep up Giosue’s spirits, Guido convinces him that the camp is just a game, a game in which the first person to get 1,000 points wins a tank. Despite being surrounded by rampant death and people and all their sicknesses, Giosue does not question this fiction and lives happily with his father. Although Guido is tired everyday there, and may face death anytime, he always smiles before his son. He has a beautiful life, because he can protect his son. Making his son happy in the concentration camp is also a dream for him. At the end of the movie, Guido tells his son to stay in a sweatbox until everybody has left, this being the final test before the tank is his. After trying to find Dora, Guido is caught, taken away, and is shot to death by a Nazi guard, but not before making his son laugh one last time by imitating the Nazi guard as if the two of them are marching around the camp together. Giosue manages to survive
