Five four youth day is to memorate the May 4, 1919Chinese patriotic student movement and the establishment of the festival. In order to inherit and carry forward the five four Chinese youth movement since the glorious revolutionary tradition, in 1939, the ShaanxiGansuNingxia Border Region of the Northwest China Youth Federation set May 4th as the youth festival.
