However, nowadays a large number of people, especially the young, are
unwilling to or cannot spend their times in reading classics. There are some reasons accounting for the phenomenon and I would like to state two of them. For one thing, people are distracted by other things increasingly, which can give their more joy and fun and have no requirement in thinking, such as all kinds of entertainment activities. For another, some people think that it is no use of reading classics because these classics are outdated and useless to our society and lives.
然而，如今許多人，尤其是年輕人，不愿意或不能花時間去閱讀經典。對于這一現(xiàn)象有很多原因，這里我只想列出兩點。一方面，越來越多的人被由其他的東西分散了注意力，它們可以給他們更多的樂趣也不用思考，如各種娛樂活動。另一方面，有些人認為閱讀經典是沒有用的，因為這些經典著作在我們的社會和生活中已經過時了而且也沒有用。
In my opinion, it is wrong to consider classics as an outdated matter because it still has many important functions and influence on our society and our lives. Classics are a kind of treasure in a nation. Therefore, we should give enough attention to them. And I advocate that all of us should try our best to read some of them.
在我看來，把經典著作看作是過時的東西是錯誤的，因為它在我們的社會和生活中仍然有重要的作用和影響。經典是一個國家的一種財富。因此，我們應該給予足夠的重視。我認為我們都應該盡量去讀一些書。
