Guide: Yes, it’s the most famous part. 1. population population意為“人口數(shù)量”，謂語動詞要用 單數(shù) 形式。 詢問人口數(shù)量 時(shí)要用 “ What’s the population of ...?”提問，而不用 how many或 how much等提問。 表示人口“多”要用 large或 big； 表示人口“少”要用 small。 Practise 這個(gè)城市的人口是 600萬。 The population of this city is six million． 中國的人口比美國的人口多很多。 The population of China is much larger than that of the USA. 2. It is … meters high (long, wide…). 它 …… 米高 (長 ,寬 ……) 。 英語表示“有多長 (寬，高 ……)” 時(shí)， 一般將數(shù)詞和數(shù)量單位放在表示長寬 高的形容詞前作狀語。 這座山高三千多米。 The maintain is more than three thousand meters high. 它離我們只有三十八萬公里。 It is only 380,000 kilometers away. 這座綠色長城長 7,000公里。 The Green Great Wall is 7,000 kilometers long. It’s much older than my country. much higher 意為“高得多”。在形容比較級前還可以用 much, even, a little, still ,a lot, less等修飾詞表示程度。 Practise 他比我跑得更快。 He runs even faster than I. 日本土地面積只比德國大一點(diǎn)兒。 Japan is a little larger than Germany in area. 5.
