UNILAPPER FA356 INSTRUCTION MANUAL 16 Adjust positions of two approach switches at the upper end of left lifting rack. The adjustment method is that when finishing the adjustment of lowest position of the lifting rack, first adjust approach switch SQ27 to be 2 mm away from the limit plate. The indicating lamp of that approach switch is just light. When the lifting rack is adjusted to the loading position, adjust approach switch SQ28 upward to be 2 mm away from the limit plate. The indicating lamp of that approach switch is just light. Because approach switch SQ28 controls loading cylinder and the chamber without piston rod is supplied with pressed air, lap is starting to be loaded when SQ28 is acting. Clearance between Disks and Lap Buildup Rollers There are left and right clearances between disks and lap buildup rollers. Make checking when the disk lifting racks are at loading position, and the disks are at close status without clamping bobbin. Check the left and right clearances at points ―A‖, ―B‖ and ―C‖ as shown in Fig. 7. The requirement is that the clearance for points ―A‖ and ―B‖ should be ~ mm, and the clearance for point ―C‖ should be ~ mm. The practical adjusting steps are as follows: When lap buildup rollers are at the middle position of machine frame pieces, loose adjusting screws (4) and fixing screws (3) on the rear flange of the disk cylinder as shown in Fig. 8. Adjust screws (4) and screws (3), and measure the actual clearances of ―A‖ and ―B‖. As shown in Fig. 9, adjust the nuts (1 and 2) on the fixing bolt on the beam (3) of the lifting rack to make the disks be parallel to the lap buildup rollers. That is, to make the clearance value at position ―A‖ be equal to that at position ―B‖. UNILAPPER FA356 INSTRUCTION MANUAL 17 Then adjust again the screws (3 and 4) on rear flanges of left and right disk cylinders to make the clearances at positions ―A‖ and ―B‖ be within the range At last, slightly adjust the nuts (1 and 2) to make the clearance at position ―C‖ be mm bigger than that at positions ―A‖ and ―B‖. Then fasten the fixing screw (3) and nuts (1 and 2). The gap between the front calender roller and the back lap buildup roller is 1 mm. The adjusting method is: when the calender roller is in loading status, adjust the adjusting screws (2) on left and right machine frame pieces, in order to reach the requirement for the gap and parallelism between the calender roller and the back lap buildup roller by changing the position of bearing seat of calender roller mounted on elastic support. Fasten the locking nut (3) after adjusting. Release loads, and then load again. Repeat the checking for gap and parallelism. If there is any change, make adjustment repeatedly. After determining the position of the front calender roller, the loading position of calender roller should also be adjusted. Introduce batt between the calender rollers. Adjust calender pressure to required value. Turn on calender loading. Adjust respectively the approach switches SQ 24 and SQ 25 on left and right machine frame pieces. Make the distance between the switches and the limit plate on loading link of calender roller be 2 mm. The indicating lamp of SQ 24 and SQ 25 should light at that time. Then turn off calender loading. The indicating lamp should goes out. Note: when run the machine without material or make checking and measuring, the driving gears for calender rollers must be disengaged, in order to avoid damaging the surface of calender UNILAPPER FA356 INSTRUCTION MANUAL 18 rollers. Adjustment of Working Pressure of Compressed Air and Adjustment of Cylinder Speed The pressurereducing valve for adjusting the working pressure of pressed air is mounted on the pneumatic control panel at right rear side of the headstock. The pressurereducing valve for adjusting the inlet pressure of pressed air from the air source is on the three main ponents for pressed air source treating at the lower part of the control panel. The pressure of the pressed air from the source sho
