The smallscale supermarket management system discussed in this paper is a typical management information system (MIS), it can insert, delete, retrieve and update modities information, it has the basic function— sale modities and manages the employees. Smallscale supermarket particularly the smallscale chainsupermarket using the smallscale supermarket management system can be worked up and made more convenient. The system uses the PowerBuilder as the development tool of the database application system. The PowerBuilder is the best development tool to develop C/S mode, is a visual, object to oriented development environment.
