This paper illustrates that utilizing SystemView emulation software to assist teaching can show the plex mathematic formula with intuitive graphs, and visualize the abstract mathematic concepts, so as to strengthen students’ perceptual knowledge and improve instructional effect. Introduction Because of the intricate theories and rather abstract contents, students who specialize in electricityrelated majors such as automation, electronic information engineering, the science and technology of electronic information and so on, often find difficult in studying some important and difficult points such as convolution integral, the spectrum analysis of signals sampling theorem and so on. Students usually feel unintelligible for lack of sensory perception, so it is quite hard to gain satisfactory teaching effects if teachers use the normal teaching methods only. There is an aphorism in one American library, which says: “I may forget what I hear, but I can remember what I see and understand what I do.” It vividly explains the importance for students to participate in the operation, and to boost sensory perception. Thus, the technology of puter emulation is designed and applied into the teaching of electronic major courses, which can visualize the abstract contents, intensify students’ sensory perception, and enhance students’ interests and teaching effects by bining the development of this certain field and emphasize the linkage between theories and practice. 2. The choice of emulation software There are many emulation software that can be applied to the teaching of electronic courses, such as Matlab, Pspice, EWB, SystemView and so on, and each has its feature and strong point. Matlab is a kind of practical mathematic software that is widely used in the analysis and calculation of science projects, and users must gain certain operational and programming ability. Pspice and EWB are excellent circuit analyzing emulation software, which can offer functions such as AC analysis, Fourier analysis, etc. But their disadvantage is that they can only make emulation analysis on concrete circuit.
