【正文】 Early in the project life cycle, we build prototypes and run puter simulations to check that the items expected to result from the product requirements will really satisfy customer needs and expectations. We have a detailed plan for the order in which product ponents are to be assembled together into subsystems and which subsystems are to be integrated into the final product, and we measure and report the number of pleted assemblies and integrations performed vs. those planned. Whenever we conduct a detailed technical review of a work product, we record the item reviewed, the preparation time taken by each participant, the duration of the review, the types and numbers of defects found and fixed, and a list of all assigned action items. After each major phase of the project is pleted, the team holds a defect prevention meeting to identify the root causes
