【正文】 Module 5 Newspapers and Magazines 教學內容分析 本模塊以 Newspapers and Magazines 為話題,引入了與報刊雜志有關的詞匯,并介紹了中國首位宇航員楊利偉遨游太空的事跡。通過模塊教學,使學生了解新聞體裁的文章的特點,并通過各種途徑來了解有關太空進步的相關知識,培養(yǎng)學生采集資料的能力。在發(fā)展學生語言能力的同時,培養(yǎng)學生熱愛科學、立志國家作出貢獻情感和信念。 Introduction 部分通過兩幅中外著名報刊雜志的圖片切入話題,使學生了解報刊雜志的相 關術語;第二個活動以介紹報刊雜志的板塊方式學習單詞,并通過說的活動來達到運用的目的,為后面的各項學習活動做好準備。 Reading and Vocabulary 部分以 Chinese Taikonaut Back on Earth 為話題,以新聞報道的方式,介紹了中國太空人楊利偉遨游太空的事跡,并說明了此次航天飛行的重大意義。根據文章的內容,編者設計了五個活動,如:詞匯練習,主旨大意題,閱讀理解題,判斷題,討論題。通過這些題目讓學生熟悉課文內容和學會使用與探索太空有關的詞匯。使學生受到了一次極好的愛國主義教育 。 Grammar 1 部分通過讓學生觀察例句,從中發(fā)現時間狀語從句的特點,并通過相關的練習鞏固,使學生掌握并正確使用 when, while 等連詞以及所引導的從句中的動詞時態(tài)。 Reading and Listening 部分有兩個主要的目的,一是閱讀三篇新聞報道,并了解主旨大意,初步了解新聞的形式。二是聽新聞廣播錄音,然后完成與錄音內容相關的練習。該部分給學生提供了讀寫結合的活動,要求學生在具體的活動過程中熟悉內容和有關單詞,訓練學生聽新聞廣播并理解各種體裁新聞的能力。 Grammar 2 部分通過觀察句 子,了解原因狀語從句的引導詞和特點,并通過相關練習,使學生掌握并正確使用原因狀語從句。 Pronunciation 部分主要是通過聽課文錄音,注意體會句子根據意群停頓,通過跟讀讓學生體會句子停頓的規(guī)律,掌握如何在口語練習中根據意群停頓。 Writing 部分通過閱讀新聞體裁的文章,使學生初步了解此類文章的結構,并讓學生展開想象進行寫作,拓展學生的想像空間。 Listening and Speaking 部分以相關詞匯作為導入,激活學生的背景圖式,通過聽一段有關電影的采訪,根據所聽的內容回答問題,通過所獲取的 信息來確定事情發(fā)展的先后順序,并就此展開討論。要求學生在這些聽說活動中熟悉有關詞匯的用法。 Function and Everyday English 部分通過發(fā)現式的活動列舉了 “ 表示相信與不相信 ” 及一些日常用語的句子,使學生在一定的語境下理解、學習和掌握語言,并鼓勵學生大膽表達自己的喜好。 Cultural Corner 部分是一篇介紹 “ 英國、美國的日報 ” 的文章,通過閱讀該文章,可以增加學生對西方國家新聞業(yè)的了解,拓寬學生就報紙雜志這一話題的知識面和相關詞匯量,為后面的 Task 做好準備。 Task部分是對本 模塊的一個復習與應用,要求學生小組活動,上網查找資料,利用本模塊所學的詞匯談談自己所喜愛的報紙或雜志。 Module File 部分有助于學生對本模塊學習內容進行歸納,對自己的學習進行反思和檢驗。 Period 1 Introduction, Cultural Corner, Function and Everyday English Teaching Goals: 1.
