Papers of 3 parts. The first part describes the DC motor based on the scope of application, classification, structure and principle .Especially for separately excited DC motor has structure and principle of the other hand, the basics of MATLAB simulation software make related introduce, especially for the simulink module and more understanding of related elements . The second part consists of five kinds of direct start principle of separately excited DC motor and get corresponding waveform of simulation. The third part include that three kinds of brake principle of separately excited DC motor and get corresponding waveforms of simulation.
