For this design , we start from the analysis of the measure of headbox opening principle and methods of design, mainly based on MCU hardware and language programming, achieve a device that can measure the opening of headbox automatically and display it. The device system consists of metal probe, detectioncquisition circuit , signal driver amplifier circuit and digital display ponents. Meanwhile exposits various parts of the details gives the main flow chart and software design procedures. The device is able to measure the opening of headbox and displaye on the digital． The design presented interface circuit schematics, given the appropriate software design flow and C language programming, and use Proteus software simulation. It can display the opening of headbox of realtime. Staff can adjuste the headbox by the showing results. The device has a simple structure, low cost and high sensitivity, and it is the ideal equipment for small mills. Experimental result shows that the system has good detection control function and practical significance.
