Foreignization and Domestication in the Translation of SiChuan Cuisine A. The Characteristics of the Names of SiChuan Cuisine 1. Revealing the Culture Bashu area was one of the origins of Chinese culture. Bashu was once an area in the PreQin Dynasty, and now it refers to the area containing Chongqing and Sichuan province in China. Ba refers to Chongqin, which locates in the esat of Sichuan province。 Shu refers to Chengdu, which locates in the west of the area.
