Lady Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes－ Lyon was born in 1900, when Queen Victoria was still living. Her family was from the Scottish aristocracy (貴族 ). In 1923 Elizabeth married Berite (Albert), the shy and awkward son of Gee V. At first, she turned him down, unsure whether she wanted to marry into the duties of the Royal Family.
