A． set B． found C． built D． founded 高頻考點 精講 考點 1 though的用法 That sounds great， though I think Victoria Falls in Africa is even more ，雖然我認為非洲的維多利亞瀑布甚至更 壯觀。 (M1 P2) 【透析】 though作副詞，意為 “ 雖然，盡管 ” ，相當于although，引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。但 although較正式，語氣更強。如： ① Though it was late， we decided to set ，我們還是決定動身了。 ② It’s hard work， I enjoy it， ，可是我還是喜歡它。 【辨析】 though與 although 共同點 although和 though同義，一般情況下可以互換 不同點 though可以作副詞，意為 “ 但是 ” ，放在句尾， although不能 在短語 even though(即使 )和 as though(仿佛，似乎 )中不能換用 although 【注意】 (1)though/although不能和 but用在同一句子中。類似的不能用于同一句中的單詞還有because和 so。 (2)though/although雖然不能與 but連用，但在強調(diào)時可與 yet， still等詞連用。 考點 2 數(shù)詞＋單位詞的用法 It’s about 1， 700 metres wide and 100 metres 1700米寬， 100米 高。 (M1 P2) 【透析】 (1)英語中表達 “ 多長、多寬、多深、多高 ” 時，結(jié)構(gòu)為 “ 數(shù)詞＋單位詞＋long/wide/deep/high”。如： ① two metres wide 2米寬。 ② nine metres deep 9米深。 ③ It’s ten metres 10米長。 ④ The bridge is 100 metres 100米。 ⑤ My sister is 。 (2)數(shù)詞與單位詞之間用連字符連接時，作定語，此時單位詞用單數(shù)形式。如： ① a nineyearold girl一個九歲的女孩。 ② twoday off兩天的假期。 考點 3 reply的用法 “Yes， ” he replied， “ you’ll get there in five minutes.”“是的， ” 他回答道， “ 五分鐘后你將到達那 里。 ” (M1 P4) 【透析】 reply作動詞，意為 “ 回答，答復(fù) ” 。如：He replied that he knew nothing about 答道，關(guān)于這件事他一無所知。 【辨析】 reply與 answer 兩者后面都可接 that從句，這時兩者可以互換。answer可以直接跟名詞或代詞作賓語， reply須加 to后再跟名詞或代詞作賓語。 reply和 answer用作名詞時后均跟介詞 to。如： —Can you reply to/answer the question？你能回答這個問題嗎？ —Of course，I have already known the answer/reply to it.當然，我已經(jīng)知道這個問題的答案了。 考點 4 remain的用法 I remained by the canyon for about half an hour.我在峽谷停留了約半個小時 。 (M1 P4) 【透析】 (1)remain作不及物動詞，相當于 stay，意為“ 停留，逗留，被遺留 ” 。如： She improved， but she remained in the hospital for another 情好轉(zhuǎn)了，但她在醫(yī)院又待了一個星期。 (2)remain作不及物動詞，還意為 “ 剩余，還有 ” 。如：If you take away 4 from 10， 6 10個中拿去 4個，那么剩余 6個。 (3)remain還可用作系動詞，意為 “ 保持不變，仍然處于某種狀態(tài) ” ，后面可接形容詞、名詞、動名詞、動詞 ed形式或介詞短語。如：
