What foreign languages have you studied (or, learned)?I have tried several foreign languages such as English, Korean and Japanese. English is of course the priority. I’ve been studying English for more than 10 years. I really love English. And since I’m a fan of Korean and Japanese TVseries, I also learnt a little Korean and Japanese to understand them better. It’s a lot fun !2. Why did you choose to study that language?English is an international tool, so it’s necessary for me to learn it. Learning Korean and Japanese is just because of my interest. And most schools lay the focus on examinations not practicing spoken English. So we also don’t have many chances to practice on the class. But I think practicing spoken English depends on one’s own will. One will create the chance himself if he really wants to practice.7. Do you think it39。s important to know more than one language?Yes I think so. The world has bee smaller nowadays since the globalization is developing so fast. So knowing more than on language means more chances to achieve success. No matter you want to get a good job or lead a good life, it’s all important to know than on language.8. If you had the chance, would you be willing to learn another language?Yes of course ! I think language is the key to open the book of a country’s culture and history. If I know the language, I can actually know everything about its country and culture. This is very helpful to broaden my horizons and give me a better understanding of the world. So I definitely will. 9. What languages do you speak?I speak Chinese and English. Chinese is my mother tongue and my favorite language. But I also love English ! I hope one day I can speak English as fluent as my Chinese~.10. What language do you usually speak?I usually speak Chinese Putonghua. Foreign languages have totally different vocabulary from our Chinese one. So it takes a lot of time to learn and recite the new words, and I’ve to review it in time or I’ll forget them all. What do you think is the most effective way to learn a foreign language?I think the most effective way is to put yourself into the context of the foreign language. When everybody is speaking it around you, it will force you to adapt and follow them. This will definitely do a lot of help to every side of language learning.17. After class, I choose to watch some British moives and talk shows to improve my listening and speaking abilities. And I cherish every chance to speak to a foreigner.19. I think modern people cannot live without the internet, because it’s a very effective tool to municate with others.
