However, in a recent literature survey, I found that there was a precedent when I came across an abstract entitled ‘The regulatory effect on the hypothalamichypophyseal ovarian axis observed during the process of treatment of polycystic ovarian disease by tonifying the kidney and resolving phlegm ’. I thought that was interesting for a Chinese paper by J. Yu in 1986 and, a little further on, I found that it was a reconsideration of a paper by the auther Ho Tsa Chih which in turn was actually a second interpretation of information obtained duing the rule of the Emperor Chung His in there is a little earlier precedent for polycystic ovarian disease than Stein and Leventhal in 1935.
