【正文】 a professor in the UC Davis Design Program. He is a graduate of Carleton University, received Masters degrees in Industrial Design and Architecture from the University of Illinois, and earned his Doctoral degree in Architecture and Human Factors Engineering from the University of Michigan. His work entails research and development in new residential and mercial lighting technologies. He works with manufacturers, utilities and state agencies to test and demonstrate nextgeneration lighting systems. Siminovitch has developed many successful lighting products, such as the Berkeley Lamp, which saves threequarters of the wattage used by traditional lamps. Michael has also developed an innovative fluorescent down lighting system for mercial and residential spaces, high performance torchiere, high efficiency sulfur lamp, and fiber optic illuminators.北京大學(xué)深圳研究生院環(huán)境與能源學(xué)院 院長 耿旭博士 耿旭教授1972 在美國堪薩斯大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位。2008年任北大深圳研究生院環(huán)境與城市學(xué)院,現(xiàn)改為環(huán)境與能源學(xué)院，教授兼院長。主要從事環(huán)境生態(tài)、全球環(huán)境變化的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)評(píng)估，水資源管理利用等研究和教育。1995遴選為美國科學(xué)促進(jìn)學(xué)會(huì)院士，1997年遴選為美國農(nóng)學(xué)會(huì)院士。1980年， 應(yīng)農(nóng)業(yè)部的邀請(qǐng)?jiān)谀暇┺r(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)舉辦了“數(shù)量遺傳學(xué)”培訓(xùn)班。 1994年，出任世界銀行專家，參加對(duì)中國農(nóng)業(yè)和科教發(fā)展第1期貸款總結(jié)評(píng)估，第2期項(xiàng)目計(jì)劃書和申請(qǐng)報(bào)告的評(píng)估，是4人評(píng)審委員會(huì)成員之一。參加會(huì)議人數(shù)超過500人， 其中100多人來自美國，日本，加拿大，澳大利亞等國。1997年，在保定舉辦“第四次環(huán)太平洋農(nóng)業(yè)與全球氣候變化研討會(huì)”。 2000年，創(chuàng)辦美中交流協(xié)會(huì)，并出任會(huì)長至今 （在美國注冊(cè)的非營利機(jī)構(gòu)，），成為中美交流的重要平臺(tái)。2003以來，擔(dān)任中國外專局在美國舊金山的美中國際人才交流基金會(huì)的理事。它于 1991 年由麥克阿瑟基金會(huì) (The John D. and Catherine T.
