【正文】 Mgates What is MGates – and what makes it crucial to our future? MGates (Motorola Gates) is essentially the lifecycle of a Motorola product, from the original idea through its endoflife. It provides a framework for design, testing, manufacturing, and marketing Motorola products, ensuring consistency and quality in every step. Ray Sokola (Chief Technology Officer) The MGates MGates have been designed to provide Motorola with a clear, unified approach to coordinating functions and enhancing munications related to the process of market and product line planning with system and product development The 16 MGates ? The 16 MGates can be classified into five phases ? Business Case Development ? Portfolio Planning ? Project Definition ? Implementation and ? Launch Closeout. ? At the end of each gate, reviews are held with the core team or with the Senior Management Team to go over the project status and risks. ? The contract book is the mechanism which helps us anize the projects. It is an ePM (Engineering Program Manager) deliverable used to show: ? which deliverables are required in which phase ? the status and location of each deliverable ? how each project is following MGates ? Which phase/Gate the project is in.
