Marco Polo (12541324): Marco Polo was an Italian traveller whose travels are recorded in The Travels of Marco Polo. Zhang Qian (164BC114BC): Zhang Qian was an imperial (皇帝的 ) envoy (使者 ) to the area outside China in the 2nd century BC, during the time of the Han Dynasty. Christopher Columbus (14511506): He was an Italian explorer. He made four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean which led to Europe’s awareness of the American continents.
