It is important that the filter cleaning is operated continuously while the ash system is in operation. The exhaust from the filter must be unobstructed and open to atmosphere at all times, even when the ash system is not in operation. This is to permit any pressed air leakage into the system, or expansion of the air due to an increase in temperature, to be safely vented. When a conveying sequence is initiated the Inlet Dome Valves of the DensPhase MDPumps will be opened and ash will fall under gravity into the vessels. During filling the Vent Valves will be opened to allow the displaced air to be released from the vessels and the Inline Dome Valve will be closed to prevent air from being drawn through the conveying pipeline by the vacuum in the precipitator. A level probe located in each DensPhase MDPump will signal the presence of material and will initiate a short timed delay to allow the vessels to pletely fill. The inlet Dome and Vent Valves will be closed and the Inline Dome Valve will be opened. When all of the inlet Dome and Vent Valves have closed and sealed and the Inline Dome valve has opened, the master vessel fluidising air valve will be opened and air will be introduced into the master vessel and conveying line. After a short timed delay, fluidising air will be introduced in turn to each DensPhase MDPump starting at the Outlet vessel. The ash will then be discharged from all of the vessels into the conveying pipeline and will be conveyed to the reception silo.
