ed and improved. The urban sewage treatment control system is a very important part of the urban modernization. It has the vital significance to improve the image of cities ,to improve people’s life and to protect the environment. The paper discusses the important application of the PLC control system in the urban sewage treatment system. And the process of the design named SBR sewage treatment automatic control system is introduced in detail in the paper. The system which consists of the design of ladder diagram and the design of configuration, has realized the automatic control and the remote monitoring of the small and medium cities. The system mainly includes the PLC、 the liquid level sensor、 the water pump、the water decanter、 the pump into the mud and the mud pump. The system has two control mode including the manual and the automatic ones to control the field on the ladder language. The system design the monitoring interface by the MCGS configuration, which can not only simulate the working condition of the demo system, but also monitor the working condition at a realtime. Besides, the interface can control the system remotely and finish the automatic operation of the method named the SBR sewage treatment. Problem can be found in time when the system goes wrong, and the system will stop working, then maintenance is needed to reduce the accidents in the process of the sewage treatment.
