為何要讓體育回歸本源?因?yàn)榘殡S著奧運(yùn)會(huì)的日益商業(yè)化以及高度政治，其最初的“GAMES(游戲)”的功能可能說(shuō)已經(jīng)幾乎被消磨殆盡?？坪蛨?zhí)行主席雷頓在倫敦英國(guó)皇家植物園舉行的慶典活動(dòng)上宣布了本屆奧運(yùn)會(huì)的口號(hào)：Inspire a generation！這是一句并不難理解的英文，翻譯成中文后看上去也是相當(dāng)?shù)暮?jiǎn)單——激勵(lì)一代人?！?br />IOC president Jacques Rogge said expectations were high but he was confident that London would deliver. Rogge said: ‘Organising the Olympics is a team effort and over the next hundred days, people from all walks of life and from all around the world will play their part in helping to make London 2020 a Games that will inspire a generation.”
