As far as I am concerned, a city should pay effort to preserve its old historic buildings. On the one hand, old historic buildings are the signs of a city, they show the city’s history and culture. It may be even the witness of the country, as we all know, a large number of tourists e to China every year, and most of them choose to go to Beijing or Xi’an. Why? Because both Beijing and Xi’an are the capital cities in the Chinese history, there are many old historic buildings, and you can know better about Chinese history and Chinese culture. On the other hand, the old historic buildings spotting in the modern constructions are a special view of the city. If a city destroys all old historic buildings, and builds new and modern buildings, then all cities in the world would look just the same.
