Heritage Protection: Not Discarding the Mankind’s Spirit China is a multiethnic nation, with 5,000 years of history and a splendid ancient civilization, as well as vast territory and abundant resources. This has endowed the country with extremely rich cultural and natural heritage. In recent years, China has made great efforts on the protection of world heritage. Chinese people’s awareness of the value of heritage and its protection have been tremendously enhanced. However, in some scenic spots and historic sites, there still exist manmade pollution and damage, and excessive exploration, which call for immediate solution. It is said that the value of world heritage mainly lie in the scientific, aesthetic and historical cultural aspects. For example, Taishan Mountain used to be the place of enthronement and sacrifice for over 2020 years in China. But in foreign countries, there is no such practice. (historical) Another important function of Taishan Mountain is aesthetic sightseeing. People try to expand their horizon by visiting Mount Tai. With the inspiration from interacting with nature, men of letters throughout history have produced numerous landscape paintings, poetries and travel notes. In a way, Mount Tai facilitates the creation of arts and literary works. In contemporary times, Mount Tai plays a new part in scientific research and education. How to settle the conflict between heritage protection and exploration? Firstly, lawmaking is required at soon as possible. Currently, there is no other special law for heritage protection other than some Regulations . China should formulate its own National Heritage Act or Regulations on Scenic Spots and Historical Sites. Strict orders must be obeyed and implemented. Secondly, the management system must be innovated. The current system of heritage management in China is not unified in different areas, which causes disorder. Given this condition, the state should have the sole right of heritage management. A special institution of national heritage management, directly under the State Council, is suggested to be set up. Fourthly, the state should increase capital input for heritage protection. (unesco) Finally, the state should cultivate specialized personnel in heritage study and popularize heritage knowledge among the cadre. College Students: Marry or Not? Recently, the phenomenon of college students39。 getting married has caused public concern. From the legal point of view, college students should be given the right to choose an early marriage when they have found their beloved partners. But whether such choice is wise or not is quite another problem. I am opposed to marriage in college on account of its many disadvantages. First, the biggest disadvantage, as far as I am concerned, is that college students, though physically mature, are not mentally and emotionally adult enough to take the responsibility of marriage. Marriage, apart from romance and promises, tastes bitter sometimes and appears to be more realistic and materialistic far beyond college students39。 imagination. They have to earn steady ine to support family。 they should take care of their behaviors instead of centering around only themselves。 they also need to show loyalty to their marriage lots of things have to be cared about! However, most college students, who themselves have not been independent financially of their parents, are far from fully prepared to take the responsibility of marriage. Love can never replace food to fill stomach, not can romance serve as fire to warm body up in winter. Then why should college lovebirds sign their names on the marriage certificate when in their hands only remain love and romance? Besides, as to our college students
