Knowing the different views on marriage between Chinese and Western cultures is important for people to improve their ability to municate in crosscultural environment. This paper is to make a parative study on views on marriage in Pride and Prejudice and A Dream of Red Mansions and analyze the reasons of the differences. The paper is going to stimulate people’s cultural awareness, boost people’s sense of responsibility, and attract more attention to marriage culture. It will make people do some selfreflection and learn the good things and get rid of dad ones from the traditional and modern marriage culture, and ultimately help to improve our marriage culture to some degree. REVIEW OF THE RESEARCH There are many researches about Pride and Prejudice and A Dream of Red Mansions both at home and abroad.
